I figured it was surely dead now. As soon as they hung up, the screen turned back on. It brought up the login dialog box and once I entered my password the computer brought up my regular startup screen. i'm having similar problems. Source

Most of the drivers worked out of the box, I just had too look for the chipset drivers (nforce) and the driver for the Nvidia Go 6150 display adapter. You are my life savor !! Picture came up on the retina! Considering the system unstable for now though.
Both cables were DVI, but I read somewhere a guy fixed this by buying a new DVI cable and I had a second one laying around. At the command prompt, type: shutdown -r -t 01 Then, hit Enter. I had tried so many different websites and i was about to give up! Apparently what happened to my MacBook was that it shut down with a VGA Cable attached to it via Thunderbolt-VGA adapter.
