Additional batteries are affected. as long as we all know to to fix the problem and.....as long as we have a MOUSE close by to helps reach the solution.....In my case , HP G4 - double tapping on Yellow light worked for me !! And check Device manager for any errors after that.

I do not use a mouse. Double-tapping the top left corner does enable/disable the touchpad though.Thankfully I found this thread and yes--the fn+spacebar does toggle the touchpad light.
