What I have done and/or am working with. 1) The connection is via VGA, I have no alternative method of connection 2) The display settings refuse to show the second monitor Just sharing this alternative possibility for this problem. Listing all information from dxdiag Lenovo T520i (System Tab) OS: win 7 enterprise 64-bit BIOS: Default system BIOS Processor: Intel Core i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.1GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM When connected via HDMI, the laptop recognizes that it is plugged into a LCD TV, but the TV just says "no signal." When connected via HDMI, the laptop recognizes that it is plugged into a LCD TV, but the TV just says "no signal." I know the HDMI port on the laptop is I just changed it from the current rate to one of the other offered rates. Also, test your VGA port to see if it's working.
