One thing I noticed where Chrome really barfed on was in-address bar searches. To test this idea I just used CTrl-N to force a new window clone of this tab. Chrome treats each tab as a different process, so it's completely normal to see multiple entries there. Every time i open the browser it struggles to even open the home page or tabs like the settings. really annoying. Not fixed after reset.

Its not my internet, as i have about 25Mbps down and 7 up. seems it's mixing and matching 64bit with 32 bit? The cache hang happens when making multiple requests to the same URL at the same time. Simple. Same goes for the Dev tool use to analyse the network. No obvious problems with firefox. I did a system refresh, restore, re install, plus all the other settings tweaks suggested here.
I had to log back in, which usually was the trigger of the lag, and everything loads quickly. I don't seem to be seeing anything of the sort. BTW how are you using ProcMon? Office Pro Plus 2007 install stalls out, no error ??
I can load one page and it runs just fine. it seemed to be going smoothly until it got roughly halfway and then just never shows progress again. This for now has worked for me.
