Sorry to be stupid, but my old keyboard was plugged in with a PS/2 connector but I am unable to find the drivers in the device manager list as I can't Trackpad++ is 100% free of viruses and adware. Finally HP is saying that the issue is with WINDOWS 8.

I wish I read the forum from the bottom, thanks for all who shared their inputs. Also seems some of the Function keys don't always work. I then bought a cheap new wiredkeyboard because I was thinking the wireless setup gave me problems, but after logging in I had the same problem. Focus was lost in here (on my widescreen monitor) and inexplicably(?) switched to my Tablet where I happen to have a Powershell window open, and the typing ended up there.
I guess I'm good for longterm trouble with the manufacturer… anyway, thanks a lot and have a great evening (or day, depending on where you live). I deleted the Epson drivers and programs and registry entry's as well. The keyboard and mouse are still powered up ut Windows doesn't recognise them. Is it true that heavy water is not blue? Similarly, if you are using a wireless keyboard, changing the batteries will fix little glitches (it is possible the game install is not related). I notice the mouse pointer is "working" when this happens like the PC is checking for a update or another program in the back ground. this does not do it all the time its very bad doing e mails it is taking for ever to write.
